Removal of #iferror

Wikidata item

At d:Wikidata:Wikivoyage/Resources#Properties_for_listings, there is a list of properties that can be useful for Wikivoyage listings. To eventually make use of them, you might want to include a field "Wikidata=" in this template. --Jura1 (discussioni) 10:48, 1 giu 2016 (CEST)

Supporto a Wikidata

Buonasera, Qui ho modificato il template per aggiungere il supporto a Wikidata. I seguenti parametri possono diventare facoltativi se il parametro wikidata contiene l'ID dell'elemento sul sito:

• nome è il nome dell'elemento su Wikidata
• immagine viene preso grazie alla proprietà P18
• sito viene preso grazie alla proprietà P856
• indirizzo viene preso grazie alla proprietà P969
• lat viene preso grazie alla proprietà P625
• long viene preso grazie alla proprietà P625
• indicazioni viene preso grazie alla proprietà P2795
• tel viene preso grazie alla proprietà P1329
• fax viene preso grazie alla proprietà P2900

Non ho aggiunto il supporto a email (P968) perché attualmente non è possibile gestire facilmente tale dato mentre non ho aggiunto il supporto a prezzo in quanto non mi è ancora ben chiaro il suo funzionamento (su Wikivoyage prezzo è una semplice stringa?). In futuro credo che possa esserci il supporto agli orari e quindi ci sarà il supporto a Wikidata per orari, checkin e checkout. Non credo che possa esserci supporto per alt, zoom, numero verde, descrizione e wikipedia.

Airon90, grazie mille per il test, in realtà è un po' prematuro attingere dati da Wikidata per i listing (sebbene in futuro questa può essere la direzione). Stanno facendo prove anche nelle altre versioni linguistiche e hanno sperimentato problemi nelle pagine che contengono molti listing.

Tuttavia, se tu fossi interessato, ti chiederei supporto per lo sviluppo di funzioni analoghe per i Quickbar, che ne pensi? Fammi sapere se la cosa può interessarti. Uhm,

1. Aggiungere il supporto a Wikidata non significa togliere la possibilità di inserire i dati a mano. Concordo in parte con te, dato che secondo me è ancora prematuro automatizzare tale procedimento. Credo però che per i dati sopraelencati non dovrebbero esserci problemi dato che sono dati facilmente gestibili e che difficilmente possano avere grossi cambiamenti.
2. Sì, sono interessato e nei prossimi giorni prenderò in mano il Quickbar e vedo di aggiungere il supporto ai dati di Wikidata. Ma ciò esula dalla questione, che è il template:Listing.

Andyrom75 4 anni sono passati, direi che la situazione è nettamente evoluta. Io ho aggiornato template:Listing/Wikidata così da adattarlo all'ultima versione del template Listing. In template:Listing/Wikidata/Test puoi vedere degli esempi di applicazione (tra cui un listing che nel frattempo ha cambiato nome e gestione: qui non è stato aggiornato mentre su Wikidata sì). Cosa ne pensi? Do poi un'occhiata al template:Quickbar, perché si può aggiungere un maggiore supporto a Wikidata. --★ → Airon 90 17:00, 25 lug 2020 (CEST)

Airon90, in realtà anche su altre versioni linguistiche hanno fatto dei tentativi ma non hanno implementato nulla perché i tempi di risposta per la visualizzazione di un intero articolo non sono ancora adeguati. Talvolta si verificano errori di timeout.

D'altro canto, se hai voglia, sfrutterei le tue competenze su Wikidata per aumentare l'integrazione del Quickbar con Wikidata. Questo è sicuramente fattibile perché c'è uno ed un solo Quickbar per ogni articolo e il numero delle informazioni scambiate è limitato. Florixc, quello da te evidenziato è un problema differente. Attualmente sulla versione italiana di Wikivoyage abbiamo due tipologie di mappe. Solo quella di tipo "kartographer" visualizza le immagini prese in automatico da Wikidata, ma dato che tale mappa ha altri tipi di problemi, non ho mai portato a termine la migrazione dei template per usare quella in modo esclusivo. --Andyrom75 (discussioni) 14:51, 25 mar 2021 (CET)

Support of Wikidata at the German Wikivoyage

I will give some comments for the use of Wikidata dor listing templates. Unfortunaly I have no knowledge of Italian that's why I am writing in English.

Now we have huge experience including data from Wikidata to the listing template at the German Wikivoyage. The development took about four years, and now we are able to import all data which can be stored at Wikidata including addresses, local names, multiple phone numbers and emails, hours, check-in, social media, hotel and restaurant features etc. The only thing we removed is the wikipedia parameter because it is available at Wikidata. The script is written in Lua so it is possible to make many parameter checks, too. You will be surprised how many errors were made in the past. From our experience, about ten percent of all articles are erroneous. Most errors occur with names, urls, phone numbers, email addresses or wrongly written parameter names. The correction have to be mainly done manually and will take maybe several weeks.

Of course there are performance issues. It is impossible to get all data exclusively from Wikidata. It would take sometimes minutes to get all the data. That's why we are using some tables to prevent fetching data from Wikidata, for instance Q-id labels and country data. For instance, there are 255 listing templates (163 with Wikidata support) in the German article of Halle (Saale). All of these templates needs a computing time of about 5,6 seconds (about 23 ms each). About 40 % of the computing time is only for the maplink calls, about 30 % for data retrieval from Wikidata.

Now we are testing the scripts on the Spanish Wikivoyage, and it is working fine. We use(d) these tests to add features which are not necessary at the German but on the Spanish Wikivoyage (for instance the translation of parameter names and parameters). Of course there is something to do: to translate several tables like Modul:Hours/i18n. Within the next weeks we will prepare English translation for the German ones, but the Wikidata ids given will help, too. I think about one week is needed to make the translations and adaptions.

Wikidata label

By using {{#invoke:Wikibase|label|{{{wikidata|}}}}}, it displays the label from Wikidata and makes it visible at Wikidata that Wikivoyage uses the item. I hope you don't mind me adding that. --Jura1 (discussioni) 02:37, 29 lug 2018 (CEST)
